We are seeking a creative and collaborative Interior Architect or Designer with an interest in housing, hospitality, and social justice.

This position for a licensed interior architect or an interior designer will work in our Interiors studio to manage projects from acquisition through design and completion.

We’re looking for a capable, collaborative person who can work with our in-house team across many projects as well as independently.

The DBA Inside interiors studio is integrated throughout the larger DBA practice, collaborating on large-scale projects (multifamily housing and hotels) as well as running stand-alone commercial interior architecture projects (commercial interiors, adaptive reuse, and tenant fit outs) that balance high-end design with community benefit.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years mid-level professional experience at an architecture or interior design firm
  • Strong design skills
  • Strong hand-sketching skills
  • Proficient with Revit
  • Experience with Adobe Suite
  • Experience in working on Construction Documents
  • Experience in some construction administration
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate with architecture teams, consultants and vendors to meet design intent
  • Experience with interior architecture and FF&E selection / specification
  • Interest and / or experience in public interest design

Ideal Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio of multifamily and / or hospitality experience
  • Experience with Lumion

Salary Range

$85,000 - $115,000 USD annually. Salary commensurate with experience.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area with the expectation of coming to the office 3 days a week.

We plan to support a hybrid in-person / remote model indefinitely.
