ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Combine all school orders for frozen and dry goods, make substitutions if needed, and create pick and delivery tickets.
Ensure withdrawls from the warehouse follow FIFO.
- Handle all transfers from warehouses to schools in case of emergency order.
- Maintain close communication with warehouse supervisors to coordinate distribution, handle urgent deliveries, and identify out-of-stock items.
- Regularly update the stock item database in the inventory management system (Primero), including deactivating items as needed.
- Input the physical inventory counts fro mthe warehouses and reconcile them.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Assist other personnel when needed.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to managers, addressing issues as they arise in a timely manner.
- Support the Food Service Department with regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director Nutrition Services, Logistics and / Nutrition Services Director.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY :
All food service employees must use good body mechanics and follow safe working procedures including infection control. The employee must report any unsafe condition to a manager or supervisor and demonstrate no on-the-job injuries due to a lack of good safety practices.
On-the-job accidents must be reported immediately to the manager or supervisor and an accident report completed.
