Job Summary
The Lead Staff Therapist, Practicum Training Coordinator will provide strong generalist clinical skills / experience and participate in providing therapeutic services to Purdue students.
Contribute to clinical service delivery including individual, couples and group therapy; on call services; triage; assessment, and substance use, abuse and dependence services.
In collaboration with the Associate Director of Clinical Training, lead and coordinate the Practicum training program, and provide vision for continuation and further development of clinical training, including recruiting and hiring practicum students each academic year, providing individual clinical supervision to doctoral students, providing, and organizing seminars and group supervision for practicum students.
In collaboration with Training Director review status of programming and to identify priorities, plans, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Continuously monitor the practicum program, including management of policies, procedures, and documents related to practicum student training.
Develop and maintain relationships with doctoral training programs to both recruit students and collaborate on their training.
Serve on various agency teams, as needed, including Training Team. Provide supervision to therapists in training, as needed as well as ongoing consultation to the larger staff both formally (Supervisors' Consultation) and casually.
Attend pertinent staff and team meetings; participate in staff planning and coordination meetings, professional development activities, and in-service presentations.

What We Are Looking For
Education and Experience :
Required :
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling & Counselor Education, or related; OR
- Master's degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling & Counselor Education, or related
- Will accept MSW from an accredited program, licensed as an LCSW, LMHC or LMFT or related
- A minimum of two (2) or four (4) years of general therapy experience respective to degree
- Current license or immediately license eligible
- Must obtain license as a Health Service Provider in Psychology in the state of Indiana no later than six months after start date
- Experience providing clinical supervision of doctoral students

- Strong general therapy skills
- Ability to evaluate and diagnose clients, make decisions about urgency of clients' problems, and design and implement appropriate treatment interventions
