Seeking a full timeday shift RN for the Neonatal ICU 7a-7 : 30p (3 shifts per week).Holiday and weekend rotationrequired.
- Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs,performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and documenttreatment as required by company policy and local / state / federalrules and regulations.
- Orders, interprets, andevaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients'conditions.
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs for,and responses to, care rendered.
- Applies sound nursingjudgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provides primary and emergency care for occupational andnon-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administersover-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Carefor all patients.
- Directs and guides ancillarypersonnel and maintain standards of professionalnursing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which aDiploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree isconferred
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurselicense
- Obtains and maintains certification in BasicLife Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational andtime-management skills
- Possesses knowledge of qualityconcepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques anddemonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental andpatient care qualityimprovement.
