As a Post Release Services Case Manager, you will be primarily responsible for providing culturally sensitive services to refugee clients after the defined case management period or immediately for refugee clients without case management assistance.
This individual will also be responsible for assisting clients with accessing their respective state's DHHS assistance.
This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide culturally sensitive services to refugee clients after the defined case management period or immediately for refugee clients without case management assistance;
- Assist clients with accessing their respective state's DHHS assistance;
- Provide financial literacy and cultural orientation to clients;
- Effectively refer clients to mental health services and screenings;
- Create and coordinate referrals to community services, when necessary;
- Complete paperwork within appropriate time frames;
- Transport clients on an as needed basis;
- Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's level degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, or a Social Services field from an accredited college;
- Child welfare and / or case management experience is strongly preferred;
- Bi-lingual : English / Spanish required;
- Prior work experience with serving refugees, preferred;
- Mature and stable judgment as well as sensitivity to various cultures and the unique history of refugees;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills;
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality;
- Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends when necessary;
- Computer skillssufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of MicrosoftOffice suite;
- Must be 21 years old with a valid driver'slicense with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate avehicle on behalf of Bethany.
- Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurancecoverage;;
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
- Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
Residents of Colorado, Washington, California & New York : ($44,500 - $62,400) base rate, plus a 0-10% differential for CO and WA, 0-25% for CA and a 0-15% for New York
