Business Analyst
The Business Analyst has a deep understanding of business process with a breadth of knowledge in how data and technology can be effectively employed to support those processes.
Successful BAs will understand business problems and opportunities to define requirements the engineering and quality assurance teams can execute effectively and without blockages surrounding the requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include :
- Ability to document end-to-end process that affects all customers, both internal and external in the product journey / experience
- Development of deep business and application domain knowledge for an assigned business portfolio to aid in critically evaluating the balance of both business needs and user requests.
- Work collaboratively within a delivery team at all levels including stakeholder engagement, with considerate ability to take ownership of tasks and complete them with minimal direct supervision
- Ensure requirements are specified in a manner suitable for the intended audience and are understandable, unambiguous, and capable of being implemented and tested
- Review and provide input if requirements have been met in terms of delivered functionality before functionality is released to customers
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders
- Participate in defect triage, data analysis and product request review
- Work with product development teams and stakeholders to support training, documentation, production readiness activities and product launch
- Maintains knowledge of business functionality and technical platforms as the business climate and technology platforms evolve
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Experience :
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of business analysis skills
- Demonstrated ability to become a subject matter expert in their aligned product
- Understanding of requirements from the stakeholder’s perspective and translating the requirements into the appropriate deliverables in an Agile / Scrum delivery mode
- Experience delivering business analysis and functional artifacts including Use Cases, User Stories, Requirements Definitions, Process Definitions, and Workflows.
- In-depth Knowledge and Experience of Business Requirements Analysis : Methodologies, industry best practices, and tools.
- Experience in lean and / or six sigma is preferred, CSSGB or CSSBB is preferred
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
- Critical analysis and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and quality
- Organization and excellent time management skills
- Thoughtful in verbal and written communication and presentations
