Job Description :

Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Server Assistant to join our team at Beverly's Fine Dining Restaurant.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

As a Server Assistant, you will work closely with the front-of-house staff to assist with table setup, food and beverage service, and guest satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Table Setup and Maintenance : Assist with the setup and preparation of dining tables, ensuring they are properly arranged and equipped with necessary items such as utensils, glassware, and condiments.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables throughout service, promptly clearing and resetting as needed to accommodate incoming guests.

Beverage Service Support : Assist servers with beverage service, including refilling water glasses, delivering drink orders to tables, and ensuring timely removal of empty glasses.

Collaborate with the bar staff to expedite beverage orders and maintain adequate stock levels of glassware and beverages.

Food Service Assistance : Support servers in delivering food orders to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained.

Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite food delivery and address any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.

Guest Interaction : Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing assistance and answering questions as needed.

Anticipate guest needs and proactively address any concerns or requests to enhance their dining experience.

Team Collaboration : Work closely with servers, bartenders, and other dining room staff to facilitate smooth and efficient service operations.

Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and ensure seamless guest service.

Sanitation and Hygiene : Adhere to established sanitation and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, and following safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe dining environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications :

Previous Experience : Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, with exposure to food and beverage service and customer interaction.

Previous experience as a busser or server assistant is advantageous.

Customer Focus : Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to provide exceptional hospitality and ensure guest satisfaction.

Ability to communicate effectively and interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.

Team Player : Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.

Willingness to assist with various tasks as needed to meet the needs of the dining service team.

• Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays, and perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, and reaching.

• Full Time Employees are offered these benefits first of the month following 60 days of employment
• Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week or more.
• Variable hour team members could be eligible 12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.

401K Plan :

• Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater and at the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
• 50% match up to a 4% contribution from the team member.

PTO :

• 6 months gets 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week)
• 1 year gets 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
• 2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
• 5+ years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)

Holiday Pay :

Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
