Job Description
St. Cloud State University is seeking applications for potential adjunct instructors who qualify to teach in the Department of Music.
The Department of Music is renewing its pool of part-time faculty available to teach Undergraduate courses, applied lessons, and direct ensembles on an as-needed basis :
Music Humanities / General Education
World Music Drumming
Music Performance : Lessons, Ensembles
- Class Piano, Functional Piano for Teachers, Introduction to Accompanying
- Applied Piano
- Applied Percussion
- Applied Brass, Woodwinds, Strings, Voice
- Instrumental Ensembles string or guitar chamber music, contemporary styles (Hip-hop, blues, jazz)
Music Education
Conducting Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Music required
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness for each area for which they wish to be considered (teaching evaluations and / or sample syllabi)
- Evidence of the ability to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
- DA, DMA or PhD
- Previous College / University teaching experience
