Functional Family Therapist

Grace Harbour is looking for compassionate, dedicated people who want to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends.

You will receive extensive and ongoing training and supervision in the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model as you work with families and youth to implement FFT as designed.

FFT therapists engage the entire family unit in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to address the needs of juveniles who are involved in high-risk behaviors and, in some cases, substance abuse.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive initial assessment to include all desired treatment outcomes, assessment of systemic strengths and needs, comprehensive safety plan, and analysis of contributing factors to referral behaviors
• Carry a caseload of 10-12 clients
• Engage the entire family unit in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement
• Implement problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, case outcome review, and strategy revision procedure
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the FFT model
• Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout FFT treatment
• Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with the FFT model
• Participate in all FFT training, supervision and consultation activities

Experience(Preferred)

• Direct use of pragmatic (i.e. structural, strategic and functional) family therapies
• Individual therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques
• Marital therapy using behaviorally-based approaches
• Behavioral therapy targeting behavior change

Education(Required)

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field

Must be Licensed

Therapists must hold a professional license in one of the following areas : LPC, LPC-A, LISW, LMSW, LMFT, or LMFT-A.

Salary range is $45,267-$50,092 Annually(Commensurate with Education, License Level, and Experience)
