Minimum Qualifications PREFERRED :
Minimum five years’ experience preparing taxes and providing accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping services
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience; EA or CPA Required
Experience with Accounting CS, Ultra Tax CS, and Fixed Assets CS
Experience working directly with clients and the ability to clearly explain accounting and tax matters to clients
Knowledge of sales and payroll tax laws, payroll practices, and applicable regulations
Professional, courteous, and concise communication skills; active listener
Ability to pay close attention to detail and make rules-based, analytical decisions
Highly organized and proactive thinker able to meet deadlines inherent in the tax and accounting profession.
Responsibilities :
Organize and maintain corporate financial records for several companies
Tax accounting for individual clients and businesses
Prepare individual, trust, and estate tax returns
Prepare corporate and partnership tax returns based on financial statements from accounting software
Make adjustments to books based on tax returns
Record journal entries for depreciation and new purchases of real and tangible property
Prepare tax-based financial statements
Answer inquiries and conduct research on tax questions
