Job Description
Our client is looking for Mannich Plant Operators in the Dolton, IL area. This position will be responsible for handling, charging, polymerizing, and transferring raw materials and finished products.
This is a 2nd shift trial to hire positions. Training will be on a 1st shift, 7 : 30am -3pm, then moved to a 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm.
Must be available for overtime on days, nights, or weekends! Pay will be based on experience but will range between $20-$21 / hour.
Mannich Plant Operator Duties : · Understand the Mannich manufacturing procedures.· Properly maintain all vessels and equipment.
- Charge reactors and mix tanks.· Understand and complete batch sheets.· Perform quality-control tests and maintain lab equipment.
- Unload raw material tankers as needed.· Clean up and handle hazardous materials as directed.· Comply with all safety standards and rules as set by management· Monitor storm drains and docks.
- Complete routine and non-routine housekeeping.· Maintain inventory awareness for initiators.· Verify that all piping is marked and containers are labeled appropriately.
- Operate a pressure washer to clean
Job Requirements
Requirements : · High School Diploma or GED· Prior manufacturing experience preferred· Understanding of chemical manufacturing and production· Ability to work outside and inside buildings under hot or cold conditions.
- Strong communication (verbal & written)· Ability to motivate, prioritize, and organize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment· Ability to multitask· Positive & proactive attitude with the ability to address issues, follow up, and implement solutions as required Why work for Crown?
