FRITA BATIDOS is inspired by Cuban culture and a fantasy revolving around two staples in the world of Cuban street food The FRITA a burger traditionally made from spicy chorizo served with shoestring fries on top in a soft egg bun and BATIDOS tropical milkshakes made with fresh fruit, crushed ice, and sweetened milk with or without rum!

Like burgers and shakes, Fritas and Batidos are a natural pairing and the whimsical menu is the result of dreaming about these two dishes for years! Frita Batidos is chef-driven, following the tenets of the Slow Food Movement with almost everything being made in our kitchen, from scratch and inspired by the time I spent visiting Miami throughout my childhood.

Frita Batidos is the juxtaposition of chef Eve Aronoff’s two greatest passions the desire to create something truly special by applying the highest standards and the warmth and conviviality of feeding the people you love in an anything goes environment.

About The Role

Seeking an exceptional General Manager for Frita Batidos!

We are a creative, independent restaurant with a casual environment, but with the highest standards and aspirations of creating something truly special.

Must have strong management and computer skills, passion for the restaurant industry and high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities :

  • Works with the ownership team to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals at the restaurant level
  • Works with the ownership team to support pre-opening, launch and operational goals for the new location
  • Implements, monitors, and fine-tunes clear strategic initiatives
  • Creation and maintenance of training materials and SOPs
  • Is a leader for the entire team and unites both FOH and BOH towards a common goal of continually raising the standard and delivering performance
  • Conducts weekly manager meetings and creates the weekly pre-shift template
  • Ensures the restaurant team delivers on top service standards; interacts with customers at every service to cultivate regulars and hear first-person feedback
  • Ensures consistent execution of food, beverage, service, and hospitality that aligns with our values
  • Helps to identify opportunities to grow sales : operational improvements, sales initiatives, marketing opportunities
  • Proactively manages prime costs with an eye on the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual projections and budgets
  • Submits weekly schedules that deliver an excellent service experience while remaining fiscally responsible for budgeted targets
  • Forecasts and monitors weekly sales and labor numbers and adjusts at the moment to ensure hospitality and financial targets are achieved.
  • Creates a talent pipeline of FOH and BOH team members
  • Interviews and approves the hiring of all hourly team members
  • Ensures that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed by the entire restaurant team
  • Ensures proper sanitation standards are being met in accordance with DOH guidelines

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in a senior management position overseeing a quick service restaurant concepts that are Latin-inspired or burger-centric is a plus
  • A passion for excellence in hospitality
  • Proven track record of overseeing high-revenue streams
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in a variety of technology systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Payroll, POS, and COGS Systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and digitally
  • Excellent strategic planning skills with an emphasis on delivering, executing, and assessing action plans
  • Ability to effectively solve and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive attitude
  • A solid track record of leading high-caliber service
  • Flexible work schedules : the ability to work night, weekends, and holidays, as business permits
