THE POSITION

The Project Manager will report to Wondercide’s Chief Growth Officer and play a critical cross-functional leadership role within the innovation team and company.

The role will lead the executional plans to bring new and improved products to market. He / she will be responsible for Project Execution from project scoping through launch execution and closely partner with the Innovation manager who will be focused on Project Design .

This role has accountability for driving alignment on project scope and success criteria, ownership and accountability for timeline, supply chain assessment and validation (sourcing, production strategy, cost, lead times, etc), and risk mitigation plans for each project.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management

• Provide project leadership within a cross-functional team to bring new products, packaging, upgrades, etc to market.
• Lead weekly cross-functional team meetings to review critical path / timeline, weekly action tracker status, project updates, etc.

Drive team collaboration and accountability for solutions to keep the project on track.

• Actively manage and drive the critical path timeline, anticipating potential issues and managing issues that arise to maintain project momentum.
• Identify issues / risks throughout project life along with mitigation steps and owners.
• Develop a dashboard update that can be used to keep the balance of the organization informed of project portfolio status, including the leadership team.
• Lead and evangelize the adoption of the appropriate project management tool(s) to facilitate team-wide collaboration.

Supply Chain Assessment & Definition

Lead the assessment and definition of manufacturing (in-house, 3rd party) and supply chain (ingredients, packaging, freight, etc) considerations related to cost, runnability, quality, feasibility, timing, etc.

and define optimal path to bring product to market. Partner with relevant cross-functional partners in this exercise.

• Coordinate with suppliers to capture all relevant information to support assessment (samples, costing, timelines, technical and regulatory requirements, etc).
• Support the cross-functional team in the evaluation of technologies, ingredients, packaging and components for the development of new products.
• Lead the capture of all financial inputs (raw materials, packaging, freight, capital requirements, etc) along with pricing / sizing strategy and partner with finance to determine financial viability.

Risk Mitigation

• Lead the cross-functional team in risk identification and development of mitigation plans
• Effectively manage and communicate project risks with the cross-functional team and leadership team

Stage gate process

• Develop and manage a simple stage gate process to formalize project scope definition, success criteria and key milestones management.
• Be a champion of innovation and a steward of the innovation design and delivery process
• Bring a continuous improvement approach to the innovation design and delivery process over time

The Project Manager will be expected to adapt and take on new responsibilities and implement new processes and systems as the company grows.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of Supply Chain and / or project management experience across functional teams OR Master’s Degree with at least 3 years of experience in these areas
• Experience working in consumer packaged goods
• Strong understanding of total cost ownership and how trade off decisions impact delivered cost
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a strong bias towards solution orientation.
• Highly organized, flexible, and able to quickly adapt from one situation to the next with strong attention to detail
• Possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, self-starter
• Highly collaborative with the ability to work across functions and drive accountability in a constructive manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with success in influencing others in cross-functional areas
