Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Southlake, Texas, on a contract to permanent basis. This role involves managing financial records and transactions for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities :

Manage financial records for a portfolio of 20-30 senior living properties, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.

Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable entries using accounting software.

Prepare and process invoices for timely payments and maintain organized financial documentation.

Conduct audits of property accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.

Perform bank reconciliations using spreadsheet software and address variances between actual and budgeted amounts.

Generate and distribute required financial reports to stakeholders.

Collaborate with property managers to address financial issues and provide necessary support.

Utilize software tools such as RealPage Onesite, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word for accounting tasks.

Research and resolve accounting discrepancies as needed.

Maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines consistently while exercising sound judgment.

Requirements :

Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and spreadsheet management.

Familiarity with property accounting systems such as RealPage Onesite or similar software.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with property managers and team members.

Ability to analyze financial data and address variances between actual and budgeted figures.

Experience reconciling bank accounts and preparing financial reports.

Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
