As the National Manager for Alternate Delivery Construction, you will play a pivotal role in leading large-scale construction projects across the nation.
Your responsibilities will span from project pursuit to successful execution, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Pursuit : Collaborate with the National Director to identify potential opportunities.Develop pursuit strategies and assemble cross-functional pursuit teams.
Engage with prospective clients, owners, and partners to shape winning approaches.Create qualification statements and accurate cost estimates.
Project Execution : Provide Financial Analysis of ongoing projects including earned value analysis, estimate at completion and estimate to complete.
Act as the project executive once a project is secured.Oversee project operations, budget management, staffing, and performance.
Manage multiple concurrent pursuits and projects.
Stakeholder Engagement : Foster relationships with local offices, operational finance, division and national leadership, business sector team members, and other internal stakeholders.
Represent the alternate delivery construction team at national and regional conferences.Develop abstracts and presentations to showcase capabilities and approach.
Additional Considerations :
- Quality Leadership : A bonus if the candidate has experience running quality programs on large national horizontal projects for up to a year.
- Safety Mindset : Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and lead by example in all interactions with offices, projects, and clients.
- Quality Processes : Thorough understanding of quality processes for large horizontal construction projects, including QC, QA, OV, CEI, and IQF roles.
- Team Leadership : Ability to lead diverse and geographically dispersed teams in both operations and pursuits.
- Time Management : Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Materials Testing : Familiarity with materials testing requirements for national and regional clients.
- Project Scheduling : Proficiency in construction project scheduling.
- Software Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office software and client resource management tools.
- Estimation Experience : Background in estimating construction projects.
- Experience Level : Have at least 10 years of experience in construction, preferably horizontal, including having performed in a lead role on a large projects valued at $100M or more
- Travel : Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
- Public Speaking : Experience in public speaking engagements.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree and 15 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years’ related experience.
- Strong construction or engineering consulting and client development background with a specific area of construction or engineering expertise.
- Experience in client engagement, proposal writing, and commercial agreements.
- Obtain Authorized Project Reviewer status by Terracon within one year.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification :
Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) designation.

The national standard salary range for this position is $126,300-$195,800. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant.
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
