The role of the Energy Systems Test Technician is to perform development, testing and internal performance-to-specification validation of Electric vehicle supply equipment EVSE product line up.
Additionally, competitive benchmarking of commercially available EVSEs will be performed.
- Working within EVSE Laboratory Safety Procedures, the Test Technician works with Engineering personnel to prepare test apparatus, laboratory equipment, test plans and data collection to assess and document the system(s) under test.
- The Test Technician will work with Honda Engineers to compile and report the test results in concise and easy to understand formats.
- The Test Technician will be responsible for organizing and maintaining data repositories for all Test Plans, Test Procedures, Equipment Calibration history and maintaining a safe and orderly workspace.
- This position supports the commercialization of our EVSE product portfolio using state-of-the-art test equipment and collaborative vendor engagement with manufacturers of power processing and measurement systems.
Skills / Education
- Must have a can-do attitude, be proactive, and be willing to learn.
- Background in operating power electronics testing equipment
- Understanding of the dangers of working on high-voltage products
- Knowledge of communication standards used with charging products
