As the Lead Finance Applications Engineer you will be responsible for working jointly with the

Business Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Applications, Program

Management, client Product, Data and Integration teams to provide technology solutions to

scale the Projects, record to report and finance processes.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director / Director, Enterprise

Applications, and is designated in-office work location. The designation of this position is a Lead

Finance Applications Engineer - Finance Applications

Responsibility

Function as a Lead Finance Applications Engineer and partner with cross functional

stakeholders to model and design business and technology solutions that improve

client's Record to Report, Fixed Assets and Projects processes and systems.

Conduct thorough analysis of business problem / asks, cross functional project

requirements, or new capabilities needed to support the business processes.

Analyze existing business processes, application architecture and integration to design,

develop and implement appropriate technical solutions to address the business problem.

Prepare the business and system flows, solution design, functional design and technical

design documentation, product demos, module configurations, development of BIP

reports, and assist with any data mapping, integration approach, error handling, defining

test scenarios, troubleshooting of issues and providing appropriate resolutions

Analyze issues, perform root cause, develop permanent code-fixes / configurations /

tuning. Design and develop custom extensions as needed to meet the product gaps.

Prototype technical solutions to assess feasibility and to determine the most viable

product. Prepare the Solution Design. Explore industry best practices to inform solution

development. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to drive solution

design and implementation innovation.

Support the Applications / IT Operations team during Month End / Quarter End / Year End

to ensure all defects are resolved on a timely basis and we are able to close our finance

books in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.

Collaborate with internal, external and compliance teams to ensure all proper controls

are in place for the financial systems and adheres to the local regulations.

Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends, and apply them

to the platform, where feasible.

Proactively identify recurring issues or value-add areas and propose process, data,

and / or systematic solutions.

Negotiates IT commitments, business benefits, technology options, cost and constraints,

and proposes alternative solutions to the business.

Define and track key product metrics and use data to make informed product decisions.

Build and maintain product roadmaps and maintain a deep understanding of the

competitive landscape and emerging technologies in the finance applications space.

What you will bring

Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or information systems or other

related field with relevant IT / ERP experience.

12+ years of hands-on techno-functional experience in business analysis, solution

design, configurations and end to end implementation of Tier 1 ERP solutions, including

recent experience on Oracle ERP Cloud specifically in one or more of the following

Oracle modules : Projects Costing and Billing, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and

General Ledger.

Deep understanding and experience of Record to Report processes including Project

Costing and Billing.

Thorough understanding of Oracle cloud APIs and experience in developing prototypes

using postman or similar tools.

Strong problem solving and analytical / critical thinking skills needed.

Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams.

Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with

ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise manner to technical and

non-technical audiences.

Track record of building experiences that effectively solve a customer pain point and

enable them to achieve their business goals.

Experience working in an agile environment and using data to drive product decisions.

Experience with Jira, Confluence and Project Management tools.

Must have excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing and supporting Oracle Cloud Applications.

Understanding or experience with one or more of the Core Finance Cloud ERP modules

such as General Ledger,Intercompany, Fixed Assets , Project Costing / Billing, General

Ledger for a global technology organization. EPM Knowledge preferred

Understanding or experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Cloud

Infrastructure (OCI) or other iPaaS technologies such as Mulesoft.

Experience with SLA, Workflow, Groovy scripting, BI Publisher, OTBI, FBDI, and other

related finance module functionality.

Understanding of basic accounting, revenue recognition and financial reporting.
