Everyone is trying to harness the cloud, but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities.

What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve Defense system? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of Navy's toughest problems.

On our team, you’ll support IT Software development. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities.

Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with defense clients to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.

You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.

You’ll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skill set in areas like automation, cloud-based security, etc.

You Have :

8+ years of experience with IT software development and engineering

8+ years of experience with collecting requirements and developing technical solution roadmaps for implementation

8+ years of experience with configuring commercial off-the-shelf solutions to meet customer requirements

Experience with implementing robust security measures for cloud environments

Experience with the optimization of cloud-based applications for performance, resource efficiency, and cost

Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions

Experience with automated deployment, scaling, and management of cloud infrastructure

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have :

5+ years of experience with supporting Navy systems

Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization

Experience with Advanced Networking design and troubleshooting, including DNS, Routing, or Subnetting

Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Cloud formation, or Configuration as Code such as AWS SSM, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash

Knowledge of the design and implementation of CI / CD pipelines for cloud-based applications.

Knowledge of cloud environments in support of DoD Compliance

Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, or Windows Server

AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Associate or AWS Certified Developer, Associate Certification, or MS equivalent Certification

Clearance :

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;

Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
