BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated BI Analyst Remote opportunity!

Position Title : BI Analyst

Location : Remote

Anticipated Start Date : ASAP

Job Type : FULL TIME (>

40 HRS WEEKLY) , CONTRACT , Remote

Pay Range : $50 / hr. - $55 / hr.

Summary :

The main function of a Business Systems Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications.

Job Responsibilities :

• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
• Gathers requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
• Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
• 5-7 years' experience required
• Basic knowledge of programming languages in order to comprehend reading code and basic functions
• Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage
• Ability to exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines
• Ability to solve technical problems / processes and understand complex details
• Ability to increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions
• A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level
• Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions

Candidate Requirements :

• Years of Experience Required - They are looking for 5-7 years of experience with business intelligence.
• Degrees or certifications required - No
• Disqualifiers - Candidate has a new job every 3-4 months - tenure would be a concern.
• Best vs. Average : If they have previous experiences working at big tech companies. That would be a good indicator that they can work in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional nice to have - Candidates who have previous experience working in e-commerce type of field since they already have industry knowledge and understand the metrics which they are measuring.

Also, their experience is important, would like to see 5-7 years of experience.

Must be able to analyze and report / story tell. Most resumes are focused on pulling data aspect of that and they are not looking for people who are building data warehouses but looking for someone who is able to translate / understand the numbers that are effective to be used for a marketing team.

A lot of times, resumes are more focused on what the number is rather than the reason behind how and why they got the numbers.

Performance indicators - Based on meeting deadlines on projects. There is going to be dashboards and performance insights that need to be provided on an ongoing basis.

The ability to meet deadlines is key, data accuracy will be a key factor, and their ability to drive & understand insights to explain numbers they are pulling and delivery of this information.

Must provide best visuals.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience with Analyzing & reporting experiences
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Working with applications - excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, Tableau, Adobe analytics
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Project Management / Communication Insights to leadership
