0 FTE High School Teacher specializing in Videography, Photography, and Yearbook production for the 2024-25 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in the creative arts, guiding them to develop technical skills and artistic expression.
This position involves teaching students the fundamentals of video production and photography, overseeing the creation of the school yearbook, and fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment.
The Eastlake CTE Media Arts department is highly collaborative and places emphasis on robust participation in regularly-scheduled PLC meetings. Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and deliver engaging curriculum in videography, photography, and yearbook production.
- Teach students how to use various cameras, editing software, and other multimedia tools.
- Guide students through the entire yearbook production process, including layout design, content creation, and final publication.
- Encourage students to explore and develop their creative talents.
- Manage classroom activities, projects, and assignments effectively.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and school initiatives.
- Maintain and manage equipment and software related to photography and videography.

- Washington State CTE certificate with appropriate CTE endorsement(s).
- Proficiency in photography, videography, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring high school students.
- Experience in yearbook production is a plus.
Salary : Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility.
Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
