Description
The Production Manage r reports to the Production Director and is responsible for supporting the production team in the manufacturing of books for multiple publishing imprints.
What You Will Be Doing :
- Organize and maintain printer quotes.
- Enter scheduling, title, and vendor data into the title database
- Traffic physical proofs, dummies, and components as needed. Download proofs and PDFs from Insite / ftp sites and route them for approval.
- Attend and participate in all production meetings.
- Support production with reprints as needed, including providing quotes and schedules from international and domestic printers.
Prepress and File Prep
- Preflight and assess filed for print-ready
- Upload files to printer's FTP site
- Work with production to achieve projects electronically and maintain project files.
- Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.
What You Will Need :
- Bachelor's degree or five (5) - ten (10) years of experience in the book or print production industry required.
- Excellent organizational skills must be detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office software suite skills highly valued.
- The work performed is in an office environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
Salary : $64,000.00 - $67,000.00
