Overview :

The Test Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting various electronic and electro / mechanical testing equipment validation.

Key responsibilities include creating test procedures, setting up tests, troubleshooting products, supporting new product integration, and serving as the technical liaison between different functional groups and other company locations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and construct both manual and automated test equipment, including the development of operating test software.
  • Support the introduction of new production test equipment into the manufacturing environment.
  • Provide electronics testing and troubleshooting support related to PCB assemblies and electronic instruments.
  • Collaborate with the Design Engineering team to develop and implement test strategies and equipment for new product development.
  • Propose and implement improvement ideas.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Position Requirements :

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical manufacturing / engineering environment supporting product testing and validation.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience in developing automated test equipment using software tools such as Bus Tools, Visual Basic, and LabView.
  • Familiarity with various communication protocols, such as RS485, SPI, and ARINC.
  • Prior experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is a plus (knowledge of RTCA DO-160G).

Job Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in identifying, justifying, building, qualifying, and implementing new equipment in a production environment.
  • Experience in programming automated equipment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and communication skills (both written and verbal) with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to building relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Self-directed, able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
