Job Title : Mechanical Design / Project Sales Engineer

Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled Mechanical Design / Project Sales Engineer to join our Los Angeles, CA team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and specific experience in design, project management, or pre-construction within the mechanical contracting industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Focus on plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems for large-scale projects.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution from pre-construction to completion.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide technical solutions, and secure project contracts. Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth.
  • Participate in pre-construction planning, including feasibility studies, cost estimation, and risk assessment. Prepare detailed project proposals and bids.
  • Work closely with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration and delivery.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. EIT or PE licenses are preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, engineering, project management, or pre-construction. Experience in mechanical contracting is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale projects focusing on plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems, particularly in laboratories and mechanical piping-heavy environments.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools. Strong understanding of industry codes and standards.
  • Local candidates must have a stable work history.
