The Role :
As a Middle Mile dispatch associate you will be responsible for the transportation of goods and materials for a company, working with drivers, shipping companies, and other logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery in good condition.
Their responsibilities include :
Operations
Overseeing day-to-day dispatching operations, managing drivers' schedules, and communicating with stakeholders
Relationships
Building and maintaining relationships with drivers, partners, and stakeholders
Tracking
Tracking inventory movements and managing the inventory database to ensure inventory is moving efficiently and effectively
Administration
Supervising administrative formalities and keeping documentation organized and up to date
Some skills that may be helpful for this role include :
Adaptability : Being able to respond to change and recover from problems quickly
Organization and time management : Being able to set priorities and handle a high volume of work
Attention to detail : Being good with numbers and weight calculations
Communication : Being able to listen and communicate verbally
Requirements
Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods
Fast typing with experience in data entry
Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
Active listener with excellent communication skills
Sound judgement and critical thinking
High school diploma
Preferred Qualifications :
