Position Overview : As a Handyman at Identity Architects, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the office premises and support various architectural projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will have technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude towards maintaining a functional and safe workspace environment.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in general maintenance, repair work, or facilities management, preferably in a professional office setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in relevant trades preferred
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively, with knowledge of basic construction techniques.
• Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, with the ability to troubleshoot common issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for occasional off-site errands or deliveries.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of office facilities, including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct repairs and troubleshoot issues related to fixtures, furniture, and equipment within the office premises.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of workspaces, meeting rooms, and project areas as needed.
• Handle minor electrical work, such as replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets, in compliance with safety standards.
• Address plumbing issues, including leak repairs, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures, to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Execute basic carpentry tasks, such as repairing furniture, shelves, and cabinetry, using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Paint and touch up surfaces as required to maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the office.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to coordinate specialized repairs or maintenance services.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergencies, prioritizing tasks to minimize disruptions to daily operations.
• Assist architects and project teams with on-site support during installations, client meetings, or site visits as necessary.
• Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment and coordinate procurement or replenishment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
