Job Title : Supervisor, Maintenance & Systems Administrator

JOB SUMMARY
As the Maintenance & Systems Administrator Supervisor, your role involves overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the maintenance technicians and external contractors during the 1st shift.
Your main responsibilities include effectively utilizing the organization's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Building Management System (BMS) to optimize facility performance through proactive and predictive maintenance.
You will also ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise maintenance staff and external service contractors.
- Lead the maintenance team in executing scheduled maintenance and equipment inspections, encompassing HVAC systems, Industrial Filtration Systems, Compressors, Industrial Process Equipment, Overhead Cranes, Site Utilities (Water, Power, Waste, Gas, Compressed Air), Electric Motors (.
25hp to 150hp ), Elevators, Instruments, Machine Controls (PLC and Analog), Liquid and Powder Coating Paint Booth Enclosures / Systems, and more.
- Monitor maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion of work and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Utilize the CMMS proficiently to create and edit assets, develop scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work orders, and review completed work orders for follow-up actions.
- Identify, procure, and track the usage of equipment and facility spare parts inventory.
- Utilize the BMS effectively to monitor and troubleshoot complex HVAC systems in the facility.
- Respond to and resolve facility occupants' problems or complaints professionally and systematically, following up with appropriate correspondence.
- Ensure prompt responses from internal maintenance personnel, external contractors, and production operators for any required work.
- Enforce safety policy adherence among maintenance technicians and external service contractors.
- Adhere to established company policies and procedures, seeking guidance when needed.
- Proactively collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance-related activities and foster positive working relationships.
- Perform additional facility-related duties as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a 2-year technical degree in an engineering field, preferably mechanical or electrical. Relevant work experience and education may be considered in lieu of a 2-year technical degree.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance Management within an industrial manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Exhibit proficient problem-solving skills, utilizing tools such as Fish Bone, 5 Way, PDCA, and 8D to identify root causes.
- Possess experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Have familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring facility mechanical systems.
- Be competent in using both handwritten documents and electronic programs.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and carrying it for short distances up to 20ft.
- Regularly sit, stand, and walk, with occasional kneeling or squatting. May spend approximately 80% of the working time walking or standing.
- May climb ladders and reach above head level.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- No restrictions on the proper use of respiratory protection equipment.
- May need to work on elevated equipment and platforms above 20ft to complete tasks.
- Comfortable working in both conditioned and non-conditioned environments while adhering to PPE requirements.
- Standard start time : 5 : 00 a.m.
