ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the work and responsibilities will include :
- Developing and executing programming to increase matriculation, reduce summer melt and ensure a strong transition for recent graduates from high school to their chosen post-secondary pathway;
- Collaborating with and supporting campus teams to achieve campus matriculation goals;
- Managing summer stipend roles to reduce summer melt and ensure a smooth transition for alumni;
- Supporting recent graduates in their transition from high school to college and throughout their first year to ensure 1st year success and persistence to 2ndyear;
- Providing targeted 1-on-1 support to 1st year students at highest risk of not persisting;
- Creating and leading a communication plan throughout the summer and 1st year to ensure recent graduates remain on track to start and persist in college;
- Tracking and analyzing matriculation data to ensure we meet our district alumni goals / metrics;
- Assisting Director of Alumni Support with management of our Alumni Scholarship Program including executing orientations, academic performance check-ins, and disbursement of funds;
- Working alongside members of the Home Office College Initiatives team to plan and execute system-wide events such as Senior Signing Day, Junior Spring Trip, and Graduation;
- Additional duties as assigned.

THE MUST HAVES
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
- Three to five years of experience working with students and their families from low-income communities preferably in high school college counseling and / or at an institution of higher education
- Strong project management experience
- Ability to proactively monitor and adjust activities to respond to changing circumstances and priorities to meet goals
- Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology
- Ability to work outside of normal hours and on weekends
- Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress

- This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
