About the Position
- Cook
- Casual (as-needed basis)
- Shift : 10 : 30 a.m. - 7 : 00 p.m.
- 8-hour shifts, Days, Evenings, Every other Weekend
- Food & Nutrition

Here's what you'll do when you join us :
The cook is responsible for preparing and assisting with the set-up of all food at Grand Itasca including meals for tray line and cafeteria, catering, and meals-on-wheels while ensuring adequate par levels of all food items.
- Ensures there is enough food for the day and prepares food for the next day.
- Prepare all hot food items and cook room service request orders.
- Prepare food to meet quality and department standards.
- Serve cafeteria customers and take payments using the cash register.
- Maintain a "clean-as-you-go" attitude and maintain a clean work area.
- Use fantastic customer service skills with both patients and staff.
- Maintain stock.
- Perform other duties assigned my leadership.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat :
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Secondary training in food preparation and food service or previous experience as cook, salad assistant, caterer, or baker, in a a' la carte setting.
- Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
- Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
