Your day at NTT DATA

As a Power BI Developer on the Data Informatics team, you’ll work closely with Business Partners and Stakeholders, analyzing the business requirements, designing solutions, and mapping data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights.

Our Power BI Developers are key members of the IT Services group, bringing an analytical mindset and a problem-solving aptitude to build multi-dimensional data models, along with interactive and visually appealing dashboard and reports - directly supporting business decision-making.

What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders' needs

Proven ability to design, develop, manage, document and troubleshoot with the MS Power BI suite (Power Query / M / DAX)

Gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis

Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes

Developing self-service models, and data analytics using Power BI service

Ensuring data security and compliance with best practices

Troubleshooting and resolving issues in Power BI reports

Providing training and support to end users on using Power BI

Documenting data sources, data transformations, and report logic for future reference

Developing user guides and documentation for end-users

Keeping up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and trends

Ability to work in collaboration with the off-shore team to coordinate moves to production and prioritize report development

Provide ongoing support and training to users on PowerBI tools and customized data analytics apps.

Enable solutions focused on utilizing business intelligence models designed for self-service by the business partners.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation

Strong understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP & ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworks, as well as SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Experience with development and support Microsoft Power Apps

Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts

Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Adaptability to changing business requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields

3 years related professional experience

Relevant certifications, e.g., SAP, Microsoft Azure

Power BI certifications are a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Primarily walking, sitting, standing, and bending.

Able to hear and speak on a telephone.

Close visual work on a computer terminal.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, other technical instruments, and for performing cable terminations and testing.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIRMENTS

This position is expected to be remote for the near future with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared work environment

Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.

Must be available for 24x7 support of customers and NTT GDC Americas, Inc.

Some travel as required. Travel requirements may vary based on the frequency and intensity of remote site operations.

Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $104,800 - $157,000

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
