Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative and real-time maintenance on equipment to support the production of products.
This position will support first shift operations and include mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems / equipment. Day Shift.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic / hydraulic equipment.
- Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, pallet jacks, & forklifts.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to a PM schedule.
- Work from technical drawings or electrical / hydraulic / pneumatic schematics.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and the facilities team on various projects.
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and / or certifications, as needed.
- Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory. approval; evaluates and selects solutions from establishing operating procedures and / or scientific methods.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate, able to easily learn and use Computerized Maintenance Software.
- Skilled use of hand and power tools.
- Basic plumbing skills for water hoses, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, works well in a team environment.
- Must build productive internal / external working relationships.
- Ability to handle high pressure, prioritize work, and understand impact of duties
- Respond to metric / goal driven environment, take initiative to meet goals
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, operators, engineers and support staff.
Preferred :
- Knowledge of common manufacturing techniques.
- Able to work with electronics (soldering & technical knowledge).
- Ability to operate machining equipment.
- Associates level degree with education in the sciences and focus on Applied Science, Automotive. Systems, Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
- Injection Molding Experience is a plus.
