We serve more than 68,000 clients per year throughout Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren counties in NJ.Supportive Visitation Specialist / Counselor - New Brunswick and Cranford, NJAnnual Salary Range : $58,000 - $60,000The Supportive Visitation Specialist will work alongside a team facilitating therapeutic parent-child visitation for families involved with the child welfare system.
Responsibilities : Work alongside a team facilitating therapeutic parent-child visitation for families involved with the child welfare system.
Visitation will occur in the least restrictive setting determined for each family’s unique needs, in order to facilitate a successful family reunification.
Will be trained in an evidence-based model, and will complete / update visitation plans, document visits, and facilitate parent debriefings before and after visits and visitation planning meetings.
Transport both children and parents as needed, utilizing an Agency vehicle.Visitation occurs at time and locations convenient for the families.
Evening hours and a flexible schedule is required.Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field or an Associate degree with a minimum of 3 years experience working with children and families involved with the child welfare system.
Must be able to demonstrate therapeutic approaches to engage families in reunification and have experience working from a trauma informed framework.
