As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing goods, maintaining inventory records, and assisting with various warehouse tasks.

Immediate opening for an Warehouse Operator in Elkhart, IN who possesses :

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or warehousing is a plus
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and record keeping.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (certification is an advantage).
• Physical stamina and capability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety protocols and guidelines

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

• Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of items and quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Unload and inspect goods for damage or defects; report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
• Sort, label, and store incoming products in designated warehouse locations using proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
• Accurately update and maintain inventory records through electronic systems or manual logs.
• Pick and pack orders according to established guidelines, ensuring accuracy in item selection and proper packaging for shipment.
• Prepare shipping documents, including labels, packing lists, and shipping manifests.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and organize goods within the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring that aisles, storage areas, and workspaces are free of clutter and hazards.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and participate in periodic physical inventory audits.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and storage practices for improved efficiency.
• Assist in training new warehouse staff on proper procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment operation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or inventory discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Support the continuous improvement of warehouse processes by providing insights and suggestions for enhancing operational efficiency.
