Customer Service Representative
CURRENTLY OFFERING EMPLOYEE BONUS AFTER A SUCCESSFUL 6 MONTH PERIOD!
Starting Pay : Up to $20 / hr, depending on experience
Arrow Distributing in El Cajon is currently searching for another friendly person to add to our customer service team! The ideal candidate would enjoy working in an environment where they can assist others, solve problems, and provide excellent customer service to our customers.
Some of the other responsibilities include :
- Taking and processing customer orders over telephone, fax, and computer
- Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer
- Writes or types order form, or enters data into computer, to determine total cost for customer
- Answers questions from customers or individuals on how a product operates or directs them to the person that is able to assist them
- Up-sells customers to introduce them to new products and services
- Assists with any customer service issues that may arise
We are seeking a candidate who considers themselves, professional, tactful, and has a service-oriented personality. Having experience working in an office administrator or customer service role are attributes we are looking for.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products is required. The ideal candidate must have experience utilizing various inventory management systems, or be open to learning!

Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8 am- 5 pm. Overtime may become available, but is based upon business needs.

Requirements We prefer the applicant has recreational vehicle / auto parts background, but it is not required. The applicant must have excellent customer service skills, must be computer literate and organized.
Retail customer service experience is a plus!

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to 12 months related experience and / or training : or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess excellent customer service skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of organization and customer base.
Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be computer literate.
Prefer experience in the RV or auto parts industry, but it is not required.
