The position of Lead Coordinator Engineering Services Technician at the Engineering Development Lab (EDL) involves performing highly complex technical tasks that contribute significantly to the planning and execution of engineering projects.
This role requires the individual to be a subject matter expert in one or more fields and to mentor entry-level technicians.
Additionally, the Lead Coordinator serves as a backup to the manager during status review meetings, leads the team in day-to-day activities without direct supervision, and acts as the point of contact for status updates throughout the workday.
What You Will Do :
- Lead a team of technicians to ensure projects stay on schedule and deliver accurate results.
- Collaborate with managers to address and resolve issues promptly, minimizing schedule delays.
- Offer technical support to engineers across various tasks.
- Consult with engineers regarding the specifics and impacts of test article builds, test procedures, and results.
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Typically requires an AA / AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to interact and communicate with technical and non-technical co-workers.
- Proficient with variety of hand tools.
- Proficient with basic mechanical and manufacturing concepts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Working knowledge of engineering drawing interpretations.
Qualifications We Prefer :
- Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace or automotive.
- Experience working in a testing and quality assurance environment.
- Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and experience with 2D and 3D modeling software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of metal machining and fabrication equipment.
