Some Key Areas of Responsibility for the Hotel Front Desk Agent include :
- Welcome all guests and confirm bookings upon their arrival
- Act as a point of contact for guests who require help or information and attend to their wants and needs
- Arrange activities, excursions, and transportation for hotel guests per their request
- Provide the best local recommendations, gather in-depth knowledge about the premises as well as surrounding venues and businesses
- Handle and distribute messages and mail, as well as redirect calls by answering the phone and making reservations
- Answer any issues or complaints made by guests and come up with solutions quickly
Requirements for the Hotel Front Desk Agent include :
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- One year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist preferred
- Knowledge of the local area to make recommendations for a variety of services
- Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
- Applicants must be able to work weekends & holidays.
