WHAT ARE THE HOURS?

This part-time therapist assistant position works 18 hours a week during the day.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9 am - 3 pm.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?

As a PT Assistant in our Day Habilitation program, you play a vital role in providing direct treatment as planned by our Physical Therapists.

In addition to providing direct treatment, you also have the opportunity to train our Day Habilitation Aides and Residential Supporters on various programs such as range of motion exercises, ambulation techniques, and standing programs.

This training ensures that all support and orders are carried out correctly, promoting the safety and well-being of our members.

As a valued team member, you provide regular feedback to the supervising therapist, keeping them informed about the progress and achievements of our Day Habilitation members.

Your insights and observations will be crucial in adjusting treatment plans and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our members.

To ensure comprehensive care, you maintain proper documentation of all treatment activities, including monthly flow sheets and quarterly notes.

This documentation plays a vital role in tracking progress, monitoring interventions, and ensuring continuity of care.

IS THIS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?

• Associate Degree in a related field
• Currently holding an LPTA license by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Professionals
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to attend pool with individuals, up to and including lifting and swimming as needed
