Our partner in Knoxville, TN is searching for a Personal Injury Attorney to join their growing firm.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct initial case evaluations and determine the viability of potential personal injury claims.
- Investigate claims and gather evidence to build a strong case.
- Develop legal strategies and arguments for cases.
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Represent clients in court and at mediation or settlement conferences.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel or insurance companies.
- Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and advice.
- Manage a caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in personal injury law and legal precedents.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience managing support staff and / or other attorneys.
- Passionate about advocating for clients' rights.
Top candidates will have practical case management experience, including depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
