Facility Manager (Live in Position) - 18-26 Redfern Ave.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Supervise assigned Maintenance Staff.
• Responsible for overall maintenance and cleanliness of housing programs for individuals and families.
• Oversight of building systems such as boiler, elevator, HVAC system, scheduling of equipment maintenance, equipment inventory, light plumbing and repairs, painting of facility, and on-call for emergencies.
• Ensure the efficiency of all building systems
• Maintain a safe work environment for all employees
• Coordinate with repairs with Assistant Director, program managers and building contractors
• Manage maintenance of grounds
• Conduct and document regular facility inspections of all mechanical and utility systems, ensure systems are serviced in accordance with all rules and regulations
• Oversee all building and grounds maintenance
• Operate and maintain maintenance functions
• Ensure that the facility is clean and maintained according to program policy and procedures
• Manage and supervise the quality of work for maintenance staff to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively;

assist with completing tasks as needed

• Responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance of boiler / domestic hot water system.?
• Coordinate with Fire Life Safety Director that the periodic maintenance and inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm system and fire extinguishers is performed and documented.?
• Check completed work by vendors and contractors
• Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications
• Forecast, allocate, and supervise the physical resources of the facility management
• Related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS : High school diploma / GED. Prior experience working on a construction or maintenance crew is a plus. Must have a valid driver's license.

Ability to perform basic repairs in electrical, plumbing and mechanical Knowledge of building codes and safety standards as set forth by regulatory agencies.

Basic computer literacy required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Vaccination preferred but not required
