Talent Acquisition Coordinator

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for supporting the full recruitment life cycle by sourcing, screening, and coordinating the selection and onboarding of qualified candidates for a variety of agency positions. This role works closely with hiring managers to assess staffing needs, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure an efficient, compliant, and effective hiring process. The Recruiter maintains applicant tracking records, represents the agency at recruitment events, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts through data-driven evaluation of recruitment practices.

Duties and responsibilities include developing and implementing proactive recruiting strategies, partnering with hiring managers and HR to understand staffing needs, building and maintaining a candidate pipeline, conducting regular follow-up with managers, networking through industry contacts, analyzing recruitment data, coordinating college recruiting initiatives, representing the agency at job fairs, screening and assessing applicants, assisting in researching and recommending new recruiting sources, conducting centralized or agency recruiting activities, managing administrative duties and recordkeeping, preparing job vacancy announcements, interpreting and applying laws related to human resources management, maintaining tracking logs and reports, and performing other similar duties as assigned.

The position requires knowledge of recruitment sourcing strategies, talent acquisition tools, state and federal laws concerning human resources management, equal opportunity guidelines, the structure and functions of the Oklahoma Tax Commission, human resource information systems, labor market trends, job analysis, and workforce planning. Skills include effective communication, interviewing techniques, resume screening, relationship-building, resourcefulness, time management, attention to detail, sourcing and social media recruiting, data analysis, and applicant tracking systems.

Ability to represent the agency with professionalism, gather and organize data, multitask, adapt to shifting priorities, design and execute talent acquisition strategies, maintain confidentiality, interpret and explain laws, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment is essential.

Minimum qualifications consist of a bachelor's degree in any field and three years of experience in human resource management, recruitment, personnel administration, or a closely related field. Preferred qualifications include SHRM, HRCI / PHR, or IPMA-HR professional certification.

Physical demands include sitting and standing for extended periods, operating office equipment, seeing and reading material, hearing and understanding speech, communicating clearly, and lifting up to 15 pounds. Special requirements may include occasional travel, possession of a valid Oklahoma State Driver's License, and willingness to work both on-site and telework at an off-site location.
