Key Responsibilities :
Venipuncture & IV Catheter Placement : Perform with precision and expertise.
Medication Administration : Administer oral, IV, SQ, and IM medications effectively.
Critical Care Nursing : Deliver compassionate and meticulous care in high-pressure situations.
CPR : Provide life-saving interventions when needed.
Radiology : Conduct radiographic imaging to assist in diagnoses.
Laboratory Work : Handle and test samples accurately to support patient care.
Anesthetic Monitoring : Ensure safe and effective anesthesia management.
Surgical Assistance : Support surgical procedures with skill and efficiency.
Mathematical Calculations : Perform accurate dosage and measurement calculations.
Medical Records : Maintain detailed and precise patient records
Must be able to lift 40 lbs
Qualifications :
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent certification preferred.
1-2 years of nursing experience in a veterinary setting, proven experience in an emergency, urgent care or specialty / referral practice preferred.
Strong knowledge of critical care nursing and emergency protocols preferred
Skilled in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medical math, drug calculations and other technical skills.
Attention to detail, must be thorough in your work, with a focus on accuracy, especially in critical moments
Ability to perform CPR and other lifesaving procedures
Excellent communication and people skills.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple tasks like a champ.
