Duration : 12 Months Description : Engineering - Manufacturing Manages high complexity design and planning of layout for assembly and materials handling.

Adaptation of machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. Planning of sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

Responsibilities : This position is accountable for sustaining standard work so that work processes are repeatable and reliable.

This is accomplished through the following.Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing processes that improve manufacturability and eliminate process inefficiencies.

Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.

Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.

Working closely with production to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.

Creating and maintaining accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions.

Trouble shooting and resolving technical problems.Proactively eliminate EHS hazards and ensure that work areas are safe at all times.

Leads Kaizen teamsUnderstanding of lean principles and systems thinking is needed to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives.

Experience : Candidate must have prior experience within a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 3 years.Past work experience as a manufacturing engineer in an HVAC environment is desired.

This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Highly energetic and success driven team player.Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to be persuasive and make presentations.

Effectively interact with technicians and among other departments and suppliers.Technical knowledge / understanding of the commercial HVAC product industry or ability to learn expeditiously.

Ability to persist and succeed with cross-cultural communication on technical issues.Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.

Passionate about eliminating problems before they occur or after only one occurrence.Understanding of lean principles and systems thinking is needed to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives.

Education : Associate degree with 3 plus years of experience in a technical discipline. An advanced degree in a technical field is highly desired.
