Key Responsibilities and Expectations :
Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated, intermediate-level Quality Assurance Inspector.
As a Quality Assurance Inspector for IPS, you will apply Servant Leadership principles to build trust and open communication as you verify compliance to the IPS Quality Assurance Program.
- Review contracts and specifications to ensure customer requirements are incorporated into the work planning and ensure requirements are included in shop work orders.
- Analyze and interpret technical documents, drawings, data, manuals, specifications, and requirements to ensure required conformance.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify that the work performed meets requirements, specifications, work packages, and procedures.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials, parts, components, products, or work for conformance to specifications.
- Support measuring and test equipment calibration and maintenance activities.
- Perform quality assessments, surveillance, and audits.
- Identify / investigate nonconforming issues and concerns, and subsequently confers with responsible management, Supervisors and other personnel to resolve issues and recommend corrective and preventive measures for preventing recurrence.
- Review and evaluate closure of nonconformance reports for effectiveness.
- Ensure records are kept and maintained in accordance with the IPS Quality Assurance Program.
- Assess the thoroughness of documented information to provide evidence of quality performance.
Qualifications and Competencies :
- An associate degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Systems Engineering, or any scientific discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is desired.
- A minimum of two years of electromechanical motor repair experience or sufficient application experience to comprehend specified requirements in disciplines that include motor repair / refurbishments, Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD), welding, nondestructive testing, and electrical testing, is required.
- Knowledge and application of nuclear codes and standards is preferred; For example : 10 CFR Appendix B, ASME NQA-1 2008 / ASME NQA-1a-2009 Addenda to ASME NQA-1 2008, ISO 9001, and U.
S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regulatory Guide Series or equivalent.
- Experience participating in and supporting quality assessments, surveillances, audits and / or Non-Conformance disposition and closure.
- Certified to or willingness to be certified to non-destructive examination methods; For example : Visual test and Penetrant testing.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess good leadership skills to manage Quality Assurance oversight activities.
- Detail oriented with a dedication to the quality control and quality assurance process; ability to understand and read engineering drawing, technical documents, and specifications.
- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat preferred.
- Proficient use of modern communication, computer equipment, and software applications.
