00 / hour with increases to $13.50 / hour upon completion of training and certification, usually within one semester. FLSA Job Summary / Basic Function Fulfilling job helping students to improve their writing skills and providing support for student writing needs across the curriculum.
Concurrent training provided and required for this position
Position provides opportunities for conference participation, committee work, editing, group leadership, and publication experience.
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire, and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications Must be a WSU student in good academic standing.
We hire successful students from all majors.
Demonstrated writing proficiency through coursework and by submitting an academic writing sample at the time of interview.
Interpersonal communication skills important.
Interest in learning to explain key writing concepts : organization, development, structure. Preferred Qualifications Prefer student who are interested in contributing to the success of others.
