Description The Assistant Director of Global Partnerships & Programs is instrumental in ensuring the success of the Arnhold Institute for Global Health & the Department of Global Health & Health System Design.

Responsible for overseeing partnership & program strategies, they ensure that resources are effectively allocated to support the care, education, & research missions of both entities.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations & Global Partnerships, they will collaborate on strategic plans, support emergency response planning, & contribute to developing core infrastructure.

Responsibilities Strategic Coordination : Coordinate program & partnership teams, ensuring open communication and successful implementation of partnership and program strategies.

Resource Development : Play a key role in implementing and supporting resource development and fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with the vision, mission, and strategic goals.

Emergency Response Planning : Serve as the primary lead for emergency response planning and operations, ensuring readiness to address global challenges effectively.

Leadership Collaboration : Participate in leadership meetings, collaborating with executive leadership to refine work plans, develop strategies, and ensure alignment with program goals.

Agreement Review : Review cooperative agreements, work plans, budgets, and other key documents, providing guidance on communications, fundraising, and resource allocation.

Capacity Building : Identify and provide appropriate guidance and training to program teams, fostering their development and ensuring alignment with program goals.

Partnership Development : Establish and develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating the successful implementation of program and partnership objectives.

Budget Management : Oversee the management and implementation of assigned budgets, ensuring compliance and reporting requirements are met.

Communication : Maintain effective and constructive communication with leadership and stakeholders, representing the Institute and Department with internal and external partners.

Staff Management : Manage assigned direct and / or indirect reports, providing mentorship, training, and support to ensure their success.

Strategic Advising : Provide strategic advice on operations, security, communications, fundraising, and other critical considerations to achieve program objectives.

Travel Support : Travel as needed to global partnership locations and events, representing and supporting Institute and Department leadership.

General Skills & Competencies : Management & Communication : Excellent management and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Global Health Experience : Strong experience in global health programs, with a track record of success in leadership role.

Grant Writing : Strong track record of developing and writing successful international grant applications, with expertise in health-related activities in low to middle-income countries.

Regulatory Knowledge : Superior ability to understand, interpret, and communicate regulations effectively, ensuring compliance with institutional and sponsor requirements.

Strategic Planning : Experience in strategic planning and development, with the ability to lead collaborative decision-making processes.

Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to evaluate programs and processes effectively. Passion for Global Health : Passion for the ethical practice of global health care, training, and research activities in a mission-driven setting.

Organizational Skills : Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to plan, organize, and conduct activities at multiple international sites.

Leadership Experience : Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in global health settings, fostering an environment of equity and inclusion.

Level of Decision Making : The Assistant Director will manage key operations autonomously. Scope & Impact : This role has significant global impact, managing communications, fundraising efforts, & partnership development.

Failure in duties severely limits the potential of the Institute and Department. Direction Provided to Others : Provides direction to research, education, & partnership teams.

Qualifications Education : Master's degree or equivalent required. Experience : Minimum five years experience in global health research, education, or service programs, with experience working in low- and middle-income countries highly desired.

The salary range for the role is $78884 - $153057.94 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.
