Job Description :

The Dishwasher at Red Robin is responsible for keeping dishes and utensils clean, adhering to safe food handling and cleanliness practices, and assisting in maintaining kitchen efficiency under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Wash dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including cleaning cooking areas, utensils, and equipment with cleaning chemicals while wearing gloves.
• Practice safe food handling and cleanliness at all times, including safely handling food prep equipment such as dish machines and knives.
• Wash and sort flatware, dishes, and glasses.
• Assist in tasks such as taking out trash, sweeping, light mopping, and assisting in food preparation according to Red Robin recipes.
• Adhere to schedule and be punctual for shifts.
• Operate effectively in a team environment and communicate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for extended periods of time.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting (up to 25lbs constantly, up to 50lbs occasionally), twisting, reaching, grasping, standing, and walking constantly.
• Listen to and comprehend instructions from managers and coworkers over background restaurant noise constantly.
• Wash hands frequently and wear personal protective equipment as required by Red Robin and local Health and Safety Departments.
• Adhere to company uniform and appearance policy.
• Read and organize tickets, demonstrate strong knowledge of restaurant procedures, and make effective decisions based on experience and judgment.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be a team player.

Equipment :

Kitchen equipment, knives, dish machine, garbage cans, ice buckets, food product, cleaning product.

Work Environment :

Typical restaurant environment with varying temperatures, including heat and A / C, cold in freezer and walk-in refrigerator.
