The Benefits and Leaves Specialist plays a critical role in managing and optimizing employee benefit and leave programs for the organization.
This position involves a deeper understanding of benefit and leave plan design, compliance, and administration. The Benefits and Leaves Specialist is able to work with greater independence, communicating with various HR vendors and employees at all levels.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for end-to-end processing of their areas (benefits and leaves)
- Manage and administer processes in support of benefit and leave plans
- Assist with open enrollment and life event processes, providing benefit guidance to employees as needed
- Resolve complex benefit-related issues and escalations
- Collaborate with benefit vendors and broker in order to provide the best support to employees
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance
- Develop and deliver benefit and / or leave-related training and education programs
- Updates, maintains and improves upon current processes and procedures
Requirements :
- 3+ years of work experience in benefits and leaves administration
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Workday HCM and HR / benefits administration experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer relations skills
- Ability to problem-solve using critical thinking and data-driven decisions
- Project Management skills preferred
- Strong team player with excellent leadership skills
- Highly analytical and effective problem-solver
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Flexible and adaptable in various situations
