Job Description
As a Project Manager I, you will lead multi-discipline teams of engineers and consultants, ensure that projects are delivered to City standards and public expectations, and often require special reporting to the eleven (11) City Supervisorial Districts.
Important and Essential Duties :
As a Project Manager I, your duties may include but are not limited to the following :
Overseeing scope, schedule, and budget for all phases of project delivery from planning, design, and construction through financial closeout.
Preparing and reviewing scope statements, schedules, budgets, funding plans, memorandums of understanding, permit applications, grant applications, grant invoices, design packages, payment packages, official memos, presentations, press release packages, and other project documents to oversee project delivery.
Monitoring and tracking project progress and expenditures and implementing cost controls.
Applying for and monitoring grants and negotiating and resolving contract disputes.
Identifying and mitigating project risks in all project phases.
Responding effectively and promptly to management and Supervisors’ concerns and complaints.
Facilitating regularly scheduled design or construction coordination meetings with all stakeholders to discuss progress and resolve conflicts.
Building trusting relationships with clients, City leaders, contractors, and community leaders and facilitating effective meetings and making presentations to City government entities, clients, and the community.
