Job Title : Plant Office Administrator

Reports To : Plant Manager
FLSA Status : Hourly, non-exempt
The Plant Office Administrator is responsible for providing support in the day-to-day operations of human resources, ensuring the efficient delivery of salary payments and adjustments, the recruitment processes, employee benefit administration, new employee orientation, on-boarding, and the accuracy and maintenance of employee records.
The Office Admin works closely with other departments to provide customer-focused, effective HR service to the organization for the achievement of the organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepares and posts internal job advertisements, screens applications, arranges interviews, participants in the selection process, tracks applicants, and administers pre-employment screenings as required
- Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms, and reports, arranges meetings, composes regular correspondence, processes confidential reports and documents (electronic and hard copy files) and tracks deadlines
- Prepares documentation for new hires, or changes in pay, status, or benefits
- Maintains internal records, which may include preparing, issuing, and filing company documentation (i.e., corrective actions, worker's comp, FMLA and disability)
- Manages sensitive and confidential matters including employee relations, organization changes, and protects the security of information, data and files
- Responds and processes various requests from managers, employees, and others
- Exercises judgement when dealing with potential or real issues and brings them to the manager's attention
- Interprets, assists, and advises employees and managers regarding leave management, benefit administration, and HR procedures and policies within the specified guidelines
- Coordinates engagement events or programs and recommends resources, as needed
- Keeps up to date on current issues and matters in the organization related to the HR department
- Maintains employee files by handling changes in employee status in a timely manner
- Provides customer service and production scheduling back-up and support
- All other duties as assigned by management

- Bi-Lingual Spanish is a plus
Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years administrative experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds as a time
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
