Job Description : Title : Accountant
Location : Phoenix, AZ
Setting : Onsite
Compensation : $70k - $80k base + 5% annual bonus + 2 weeks PTO
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in financial software and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile credit card transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company accounts and financial institutions.
- Prepare and send accurate and timely customer invoices.
- Apply customer payments and proactively monitor overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Manage and maintain detailed records for vendor and customer accounts.
- Process accounts payable invoices and execute payments accurately and on time.
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) reports to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing necessary documentation.
- Oversee all aspects of the payroll process, including processing weekly payroll, ensuring accurate payment, approving transactions, reviewing exemptions, and making necessary adjustments as directed by management
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop for AP / AR operations.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions.Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, etc.).Experience processing payroll.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications :
Bilingual in English and Spanish.Associate's degree or higher in Accounting or related field.Pay Details : $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
