Description
Weare seeking a highly skilled and motivated MainFrames Developer tojoin our dynamic team in Edison New Jersey. As a part of our riskmanagement consulting firm you will play a pivotal role inmaintaining enhancing and developing critical mainframeapplications.
The ideal candidate will leverage their extensiveexperience with IBM Mainframe technologies and possess a strongunderstanding of legacy systems.
You will work collaboratively withcrossfunctional teams to deliver highquality software solutionsthat meet client needs while ensuring compliance with industrystandards.
Responsibilities
- Designdevelop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL JCL CICSand VSAM.
- Analyze user requirements and developefficient technical solutions to meet businessneeds.
- Perform system testing and debugging toensure optimum performance andreliability.
- Collaborate with team members andstakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on projectprogress.
- Document technical specifications andmaintain comprehensive systemdocumentation.
- Provide support duringintegration and deployment phases ofapplications.
- Identify and implement processimprovements to enhance current systems andtools.
- Assist in the training and mentoring ofjunior developers asneeded.
Requirements
- Mastersdegree in Computer Science Information Technology or a relatedfield.
- 57 years of experience in mainframeapplication development.
- Proficiency in IBMMainframe technologies including COBOL DB2 MS SQL JCL CICS VSAM andAssembler.
- Strong analytical and problemsolvingskills with attention to detail.
- Excellentverbal and written communicationskills.
- Ability to work effectively in ateamoriented environment as well asindependently.
- Experience in risk management orconsulting industry is a plus.
- Willingness tolearn new technologies and adapt to a fastpaced workingenvironment.
